The housing coordination represents a strategic and cross-sectoral placement coordination of the social services' collective housing issues. The unit serves as a support function between authority exercise and implementation of decisions according to SoL and LSS. The assignment includes placements in special housing, short-term places, hospices, housing with special services, short-term stays, camp activities, and municipal contracts.
A central part of the assignment is to identify opportunities for implementation within the municipality's own management or to seek placement through purchases from external actors. The workgroup is characterized by professionalism, commitment, and a shared responsibility to find sustainable solutions – both in the short and long term. You will be part of a group of three colleagues led by a unit manager. In addition to housing coordination, the unit also works on eviction prevention and contract management.
Your Assignment
You are offered a fast-paced and stimulating job as a housing coordinator within social services. The assignment encompasses the entire sector and spans the entire process – from overview of existing housing and needs to matching and implementation of decisions.
Examples of Work Tasks:
- Match individuals with decisions according to SoL and LSS to suitable housing solutions
- Offer placements to individuals within the target groups of social services based on their needs
- Prepare documentation for contract writing and manage housing-related cases
- Work administratively with housing cases in social services' operational systems
- Maintain ongoing contact and actively collaborate with internal operations and external actors
- Drive and develop internal and external collaboration, including coordinating meetings and developing and following up on common routines
- Have a comprehensive overview of the housing stock, available places, and current needs within social services' operations
The role suits you who enjoys having many contact points, managing several parallel processes, and contributing to both operational solutions and long-term development. Your main work and communication tools are computer and phone.
Requirements for the Position
Education and Competence:
- Post-secondary education is a requirement, preferably in social work, such as a social worker, alternatively in administration and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent for the assignment
Experience and Knowledge:
- Good experience in housing issues and housing coordination is meritorious
- Experience working in municipal operations is meritorious
- Good knowledge of the various areas of social services is meritorious
- A requirement is experience working in multiple IT systems and possessing good computer skills
- Basic skills in the Office suite are required, advanced knowledge in Excel is meritorious
- Experience and good knowledge of the operational systems Treserva and Combine are meritorious
- A requirement is that you have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing

- You are solution-focused and have an easy time communicating with different target groups
- You are driven and forward-looking while maintaining calm in pressured situations
- You enjoy handling both short-term needs and long-term, strategic housing issues
- You work independently but also have a strong collaborative ability and a natural way of cooperating
- You are service-oriented, socially competent, and contribute to good relationships internally and externally
To obtain employment, a police record extract must be presented.
